T.S.O.L. are an American punk band. T.S.O.L. is short for True Sounds of Liberty although they are rarely referred to by their full name. Although most commonly associated with the burgeoning West Coast hardcore punk movement of the late 1970s and early 1980s, T.S.O.L. have released music in the styles of both punk and hard rock. Formed in 1979 and hailing from Long Beach, California, T.S.O.L. developed from earlier bands Johnny Coathanger & the Abortions and Vicious Circle.

430 STEPS

30 STEPS, originating from Orlando, Florida in 2016, boasts a lineup featuring Nelson Porras as the vocalist, Carlos Mejía holding down the bass, Martin Imhof on the drums and Gustavo Porras and Manuel Porras shredding on guitars. Their raw energy and unapologetic sound pay homage to the Hardcore Punk scene of the 80s and 90s.

The band stumbled upon their moniker during an audiovisual experiment when the storage number “430” caught their eye in the background of a music video shoot for a cover of Suicidal Tendencies’ “Cyco Vision.” Intrigued by its significance, they decided to adopt it as their own, coupling it with “STEPS” to solidify their identity.

Hailing from Venezuelan roots, 430 STEPS has churned out several EPs, including “Nothing Left,” “Faster and Louder,” “Heartless,” and “Citizen of Nothing.” Their most recent full-length album, “Lights Out,” made its digital and vinyl debut in October 2022, showcasing their evolution and commitment to the genre.

Sharing stages with bands like Sick Of It All, Madball, and D.R.I, among others, has solidified their place in the hardcore community. Currently, 430 STEPS is on the road, electrifying audiences with tracks from “Lights Out,” all while honing their craft and preparing to unleash new music in 2024.
